What makes KAM different from other transport companies?

KAM is a New Zealand family-owned and operated company specialising in supply chain logistics in the primary meat, produce and aquaculture industries across New Zealand.

Today, KAM transports animal by-products from meat processors, bulk product to farms, primary products to factories and warehouses, and finished product to warehouses and retail outlets across and throughout the country using a modern fleet of Scania trucks and a diverse range of trailer systems. We specialise in temperature controlled, refrigerated and frozen transport solutions.

We don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ model and we work with our clients to provide innovative solutions, tailored to their business’ needs. We’re not afraid to think outside of the box and create new solutions for the betterment of your business, even if that means being the first in New Zealand to implement a new model.

We are currently the only Transport and Logistics company of our kind in New Zealand to hold a Toitū enviromark gold certification.

We cover a large network covering from Auckland to Timaru, with depots at Auckland, Hastings, Wellington, Blenheim, Nelson and Christchurch.

We have a modern fleet of more than 90 trucks and associated trailers which are equipped to enable effective movement and transport of chilled, frozen and perishable goods.

We specialise in temperature controlled refrigerated and frozen transport, running Quad Dual Temp units. We also have container cartage, bulk tippers, tankers and general freight.

Yes, we can provide a range of Third Party Logistics solutions including temperature controlled chilled and frozen storage, ambient storage, and container storage.

We use Trifecta, a customer portal allowing a user to view all their freight, see the status of jobs in real time, print and distribute POD’s, and book or edit jobs.  The portal can be configured by each user to suit their needs.

Our temperature management system complies with requirements of HACCP Food Safety Plans and MPI requirements. Associated data loggers and Euro Scan to assist with the monitoring and temperature management of perishables.

After installation, the MX2 has all the communication and reporting capabilities required to connect to Euroscan temperature recorders, sensors or product probes as part of any HACCP compliant process. 

This means that transport and fleet managers can, at any time, quickly change the refrigerated space in a truck or trailer from one which is simply reefer monitored, to one which is fully HACCP compliant controlled.

KAM can provide temperature reports for temperature controlled transport upon request.

KAM has a proven track record of achieving or exceeding industry DIFOT benchmarks with customers of all sizes.
